Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel Progress, “Don’t You (Part 1 and 2)

You can thank my insomnia and lust for late-night television for this gem. I actually don’t know much about Hinson, except for the little I just looked up. Apparently, he put this song out in 2004, and a 2008 straight-to-DVD movie called “Virgin Territory” (starring Tim Roth, Mischa Barton and Hayden Christensen) picked this tune for some of the more poignant moments in the film.

I really hope you enjoy this dreamlike melody, which pairs nicely with Hinson’s rough-around-the-edges charm.
