Mumford & Sons, “Little Lion Man”

Oh man, is this song insanely good. What draws me to this song are the lyrics and the various use of strings. I’m going to coin this kind of tune badass folk. It’s a little reminiscent of Tegan and Sara’s “Living Room,” thanks to the banjo. Anyway, these British boys haven’t been around for too long, somewhere in the ballpark of three years. In fact, this song is off their debut album, Sigh No More, which was released in the good ol’ USA in February.

I’ve listened to the entire album and find the sound so refreshing. What’s so great about this band is that they’re not trying to be anybody else, or fit into a perfect mold.
