Winterlseep, “Mirror Matter”

Oh, Canada! This quintet hails from Nova Scotia and has been on the indie circuit since 2001. This song is off New Inheritors, which was released last year.

Short story: I actually fell in love with Wintersleep by pure chance. I was in San Francisco a few years ago to see An Horse perform at a really tiny dive bar, when I found out that Wintersleep was playing directly afterward. I was going to skip out and head home, but the table of guys sitting next to me encouraged me to stay for the next set. I’m glad I did because they were killer. A must-see live if you get the opportunity.
