Joy Division/New Order, “Ceremony”

My anxiety level has been pretty high this week as I try to tie up loose ends. When this happens, there are several songs that I play to help me settle down for the night, and this is one of them. 

So, here’s the tricky part to the origin of this song. It was written by Joy Division and three demos were recorded with lead singer Ian Curtis. After Curtis’ death, the remaining members of Joy Division became New Order, and they used this song as their first single. You can find versions of this track with Curtis singing, but they are of poor quality. This version is the New Order single.
