Dr. Dog, “Heart It Races”

If you are ever in a bad mood, listen to this song. It is sure to cheer you up, or get your up out of your seat, whatever the occasion needs. I should have included this on my summer playlist. I dropped the ball on that one.

I’m a big fan of this band, probably because they are heavily influenced by some of the bands that got me hooked on indie rock, Guided by Voices and Pavement. These dudes from the City of Brotherly Love have been around for more than a decade, so definitely check out some of their other stuff if you like this song (which is a cover, but I chose not to advertise that since I keep promising no covers, and I keep blowing that promise right out of the water).
